A family-friendly celebration of all things rural at Scotland's National Museum of Rural Life.

An event for the whole family with a variety of activities including Traditional Dancing, Local Crafters, Birds of Prey, Dog Agility, Archery, Laser Clays, Bouncy Castle and Rides.
 

This year’s Largs Viking Festival will run from Saturday 29 August to Sunday 6 September. Enjoy a bespoke food and drink festival, alongside the activities such as the living history village and re-enactments that feature in the wider programme.

Held annually in the grounds of Drumlanrig Castle, Galloway Country Fair is an all-round celebration of rural life which is also celebrating Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink in 2015. The popular country event will take place within the stunning surroundings of Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate on August 22 and 23.

The City of Elgin Food & Drink Festival, led by the Elgin Business Improvement District initiative is vibrant, family-friendly festival now in its 5th year.

Shetland Reel Music Festival is a brand new event for 2015, blending the musical and cultural heritage of the UK’s most northerly island. 2015 is a fantastic time to visit and celebrate the fantastic local produce on the islands, especially during the first year of production of Shetland Reel Gin.

Belladrum is now in its 13th year and continues to offer a varied musical programme from Celtic to roots, classical and more as well as an arts and theatre programme and, for 2016, a new Banqueting Tent.

Turriff Show Events

The Turriff Show is the largest two day agricultural show in Scotland, and offers plenty of activities alongside the main agricultural events to entertain the uninitiated, with something for everyone. The Show will this year feature over 250 trade stands and a special food fair and marquee to celebrate Scotland's Year of Food and Drink.
